There is also free parking offered by Dr. Elman to his patients in a single parking space in the small lot behind the building (access through alley from either Boadway or Santa Monica Blvd; park in front of sign on the 1431 building designated "Dr Elman patients only"; use lot call box intercom to dial suite 101 to enter building). If these spaces are taken public parking is available for 50 cent per 1/2 hour in the new Santa Monica Public Library building on the northwest corner of Santa Monica Blvd and 7th St, with entrance on west side of 7th St., 1/2 block north of Dr. Elman's office. The library has over 500 parking spaces and attendents will make change when you leave (no need to pre-pay and worry as you do with meters). Preregistration Using
NoMoreClipboard.com (NMC) has partnerd with Google Health to provide a secure online personal health record (PHR) for you and your family which you can update and print as needed. You create your account on a secure online server with your own unique ID name and password and the information you want to include. You can direct NMC to fax or electronically deliver your health records to selected physicians. The basic service is free to patients. Doctors who pay a subscription for the service, like Dr Elman, will get notification from NMC when a patient has selected him to receive a new PHR and he can logon to his office account to see the new patient file. Once you have entered your information, which includes your demographics, complete health information, information about your previous glasses and contact lenses, and health and vision insurance information, then your PHR can be sent as needed to health care providers of your choosing. Information sent to the doctor has a unique code for each patient so the doctor can send updated information on your health back to NMC with the same code. If your information is complete you may not have to fill out any forms in doctors' offices--hopefully everything all your doctors need will have been sent to them before you arrive at their offices. Once you have created your secure on line account at www.NoMoreClipboard.com and entered your information you will be given an opportunity to send your record to Dr Elman. If you have an appointment already scheduled enter the date on your on-line form. If you do not have an appointment scheduled you will be asked if you would like to be contacted by e-mail or phone to schedule appointment and an e-mail confirmation will be sent to you.
